We pull up outside of Connor and Allie’s home, and I feel fresh as a daisy. Johnny removed the breakfast from the table before he sprayed a full bottle of air freshener, whilst I got changed. He said he didn’t want it upsetting my stomach again.

When we’ve both emerged from the beast as I’ve taken to calling his car, we both walk along Connor and Allie’s drive hand in hand, noticing there are other cars here. I’m presuming they belong to the other guys. Just as we approach the front door, there stands Allie and she’s beaming from ear to ear. I love that woman as if she’s my own sister, but sometimes I could just strangle her for looking to bloody perfect.

“So, you two kissed and made up I see, about bloody time. Now get your arses in here.”

“Yes mum.” I mumble so only Johnny can hear me, which causes him to chuckle lightly.

When we enter the kitchen, everyone and I mean everyone stops what they are doing and stares in our direction. There’s Liam, Max, Connor, the bands manager whose name I can never remember. They take us both in for a few seconds, before Max breaks the silence.

“So, we’re going to have two Syren babies on tour with us then from now on? This is going to be fantastic, chicks dig kids, I’m not going to know what to do with all the women throwing themselves at Uncle Maxy.”

I go to voice my opinion on that matter, but Connor beats me too it.

“Don’t think for one fucking minute your using my kid to get laid you twat.” At the same time, he clips him one round the back of the head to enforce what he’s just said.

“Ouch fucker, what was that for?” Max complains, rubbing his head at the same time. Like he has to ask that question.

“If you didn’t understand when I just explained it to you, then you’ll never get it. Just know that if I catch you using my child as a way of getting women into your bed then you’ll get more than a clip around the head.”

Someone moving to the right of me catches my attention. It’s Allie’s friend from dance school and the girl who stepped in for her when she couldn’t dance on the tour any longer. Oh god what’s her name?

“Billie-Jo.” I hear Allie shout across the kitchen getting her attention, she’s just saved me from embarrassing myself, I wouldn’t have remembered that name, my memory is like a sieve since I’ve been pregnant. “This is my friend I was telling you about.” She waves her hand for me to walk towards them. I hold out mine at the same time she does, and we shake hands.

“It’s good to see you again, by the looks of things a lot has changed. Congratulations by the way.” She has a sweet smile on her face, and her eyes are warming, making me like her instantly. I don’t make friends easily, but if she’s a friend of Allies then she’s a friend of mine too.
